Date with a Woman..

.

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie.. She said I love you but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you..

.

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER, who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally..

.

That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie..

.

'What's wrong, are you well,' she asked? My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news..

.

'I thought that it would be pleasant to be with you,' I responded. 'Just the two of us..'

.

She thought about it for a moment, and then said, 'I would like that very much..'

.

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous..

.

When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on.. She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary..

.

She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel's..

.

'I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed, 'she said, as she got into the car. 'They can't wait to hear about our meeting'. We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady..

.

After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Large print. Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips..

.

'It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small,' she said. 'Then it's time that you relax and let me return the favor,' I responded..

.

During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation - nothing extraordinary, but catching up on recent events of each other's life..

.

We talked so much that we missed the movie..

.

As we arrived at her house later, she said, 'I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you.' I agreed..

.

'How was your dinner date?' asked my wife when I got home. 'Very nice..

.

Much more so than I could have imagined,' I answered..

.

A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't have time to do anything for her..

.

Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and I had dined..

.

An attached note said: 'I paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two plates - one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant for me..

.

I love you, son..

.

At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: 'I LOVE YOU!' and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve. Nothing in life is more important than God and your family. Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till 'some other time..'

Cambridge announced the publication of 3 dictionaries for Malaysian markets, recently. Included in the Learner’s edition are some of the new words approved by Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka, one of which is “Altantuya”. However, sources said these books may be pulled off the shelves soon as Najib, the new Prime Minister of Malaysia , has issued an order to ban these publications.

Organising the Paintball Tournament held @ Starfresh Agro Park..

Congrats to FLO Adventure Team for the winning of two consecutive years thou it might said to be the last minute team to call for confirmation..

At nite, catched up with some pals while having a set of meaty scrumptious steak @ TGIF Pavilion..

Discussed & planned for the next boom boom pow project ;-)

Hmm, wondering why Dynaz came all alone for the very 1st time ever but who cares, rite?

Ended up exercising a bit @ Ministry of Sound..

And later the next day, I did it again to Pavilion but this time around looking forward to grab my all time favorite of Levi's & checked out the latest of Blackberry..

This week, focusing on every pending deadlines especially the schedule which I managed to settle a few hours after work today before email it to the coordinator..

Drove back home with a terrible massive traffic congestion on both bounds as usual..

This is a story that my mom told me last nite..

My bro is getting married!

So? I don't give a damn heart feelings nor jealousy about it even if he crossed over me anyway..

I'm happy for him & wasn't so surprised as he actually told me earlier a few months ago before he had guts to tell the parents himself..

But mom..

She was so reluctant and hardly sad + cried to let him go and walk to the aisle..

I persuaded & convinced her it's almost time for her to face the fact that she'll be a mother inlaw, and she needs to bless him while accepting the inlaw's as well, but mom is always gonna be mom..

Well, it's kinda quite funny situation here because my bro had broke the ice to become the 1st amongst us to say 'I DO'! And obviously mom couldn't helped herself crying badly as she knew that her son, most beloved son is grown up and ready to drive the responsibility like dad used to be 31 years ago..

.

.

Until this moment, further discussion needs to be made in order to ensure that everything's will goes as planned as well as happy ending for everyone..

Thank GOD the Almighty, everything's happened as planned (thou there were lacked here & there, but we managed to overcome them smoothly)..

Received a phone called by my BFF - Adam a few days ago, telling me that he'll be posting as a Marine Officer & will be reporting @ Port Klang end of the month..

I am so happy for him & family, as he never gaves up every single chance to apply for a gov.my servant in order to secure his family's future etc..

.

.

Perhaps, we'll be meeting up soon bro! Congrats anyway!

But the bad news is, there is going to be NO internet connection for the whole week! (as informed by the ICT's office) as the server's room was seriously flooded caused by the heavily rain last Monday and will only be inform if they're back to the normal condition!

Damn hell!

Can't really conducting almost 90% of my work as all the files were stored in the network datastorage system + everything's goes uncertain @ my workstation..

.

Internal communication also affected breakdown too!

At the end of the day, I'm relying totally to the broadband services thou it might lost connection somehow but still did my certain pending documentation manually..

* now I came to realise that no matter how sophisticated the technology, still couldn't fight and win when the forces of nature took place!
